'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Now That's How We Do It

Keith Hill is a very happy man tonight after finally seeing the type of performance he expects from the squad against Wycombe.

Speaking following the comfortable 4-1 victory, Hill said that was exactly the type of determined performance he has been looking for since he returned to the club, and he says he's told the players that both the scoreline and the performance has to now be the benchmark we aspire to reach as the season draws to a close.

'It was definitely a deserved three points, that is the type of performance I have been searching for and have been led to believe the players are capable of achieving. Regardless of the second half, I explained at half time that the performance they had put in up to that point was what I expected from them, and I hope that proves to be the watershed.'

Hill says that the team were finally up for it today and now they have to be up for repeating it. Matches won't always be won with that kind of scoreline and performances like that won't always result in the desired outcome, but that level of commitment will see us to more points than the type of performances we have seen so far this season.

What Hill doesn't want to see is this be a short term boost and then the team reverts to type.
