'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hill Agrees Three Year Deal

Keith Hill has signed a new three year contract with the club keeping him at Rochdale until 2016.

The 43 year old who remains our most successful manager in history, returned to the club in January and has hardly mixed his words when it came to the problems he found on his return, and he's worked hard to get the players to follow the model he wants again as well as planning for the future.

Chairman Chris Dunphy said of the successful negotiations.

'It's fair to say that you don't realise what you've got until it's gone and that is certainly the case with Keith. In the period of time he has been back at the club we have all seen a change in the way that the team plays and Keith's hard work and commitment is now bearing fruit with positive results on the pitch. We're all starting to watch Rochdale with a smile on our faces.'

Keith Hill himself said elsewhere on the Official Site.

'I'm excited about it and I'm really looking forward to it. I've really enjoyed the past three months and I'm excited about trying to recreate the past. The negotiations were about making sure that both parties were on the same page as we've both got a lot to offer each others. We're planning to be successful with the current deal and possibly beyond. We're very ambitious and we're going to be pushy.'
