'If It's Football, It's Vital'

We're In Good Spirits

Keith Hill has said Rochdale are in good spirits following our draw with Port Vale, and he's looking forward to seeing the positives he can take in action against Oxford.

Speaking to the Official Site after signing his new contract, Hill said.

'We could possibly have gone on to lose that game but our performance reflected more rewards and we came back really well because the players don't want to go under. We got our rewards with the equaliser.'

Despite our change in form recently, the Play Off spots are beyond us this season, however Hill is still focusing on a top ten finish to set the benchmark for next season.

'It's a massive aim. Arguably there's nothing for us to play for apart from pride, but I expect us to be competitive. We're always looking up. We're in good spirits, the players are looking good in performances, so I'm pleased going into the last two games. That spirit breeds a winning environment, there's a great feeling aout preparing yourself to win, instead of expecting to lose.'

Hill says he's been working hard to change the pysche of the players as they prepare for games and the way we train and what he demands naturally from them, and he's seeing the rewards of that now. Especially as he feels both the players and the fans are anticipating some excitement again.
