Vincenti Can't Wait For League Opener

Vincenti Can't Wait For League Opener

New signing Peter Vincenti has said our trip to Tenerife was brilliant, and it was the perfect chance for him to get to know the lads properly.

It was almost the perfect preparation and with Keith Hill doing business early, only one trialist travelled with the squad to be assessed, the other 24 are already in his plans, so for bonding and understanding purposes, it stands us in good stead for the coming campaign.

Speaking to the Official Site Vincenti explained that with him being new to the club removing all distractions other than spending time with his new colleagues and training, was perfect for him, and he's enjoyed it so much he can't wait for the season to start properly now.

'It was nice to go somewhere different, pre season is always going to be difficult, you don't expect it to be anything else. The lads worked hard and I think the management was happy with how it went. I'm new to the club so it was nice to be somewhere where we were all together.'

The key to the training camp is, Vincenti says, players normally go their own way after training but in such close quarters, you are ind of forced to get to know each other far quicker and that helps the banter, the jokes and the tightness amongst the group that forges the strong squad mentality where you'll battle on the pitch for each other.
