Cavanagh Appeal Unsuccessful

Cavanagh Appeal Unsuccessful

Rochdale's appeal against Peter Cavanagh's red card in our game against Burton has been rejected.

Cavanagh will now miss the games against Chesterfield, Plymouth and Oxford.

CEO Colin Garlick commented to the Official Site.

'I'm really disappointed because looking at the laws of the game and the FIFA interpretation and guidance to referees, Peter's warrant a yellow card, and I believe the red card should have been reduced. I'm disappointed that the FA haven't come to that conclusion based on what we submitted.'
