Hill Post Torquay + JPT Details
Keith Hill has praised the composure of Ian Henderson in the game against Torquay at the weekend, and details for our second round tie in the JPT have been announced.
Speaking to the press following the narrow one nil win that saw Ian Henderson capitalise on a defensive mistake in the 77th minute to give us back to back victories, Keith Hill was obviously delighted with how the outcome of the game went, but he did admit it wouldn't have been unfair had Torquay come way with a point.
'I don't think there was anyone better for the ball to fall to in that situation than Ian Henderson.'
Hill said even though it was a tight game, he knew we'd have two or three key chances fall for us so it was all about how we dealt with those chances, and then dealt with the chances he knew Torquay would create.
Disappointingly for Hill though he felt we were stuck in second gear for most of the match, which does bug him as we didn't achieve what he wanted us to, but we just about did enough to win the game.
The result he's delighted with however, as he knew it would be tough to get the three points, and the bonus is of course is our first consecutive back to back wins of the season which everybody can take some good confidence from.
As for our second round Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash against Port Vale, that game has now been set for October 8 and will kick off at 7.30pm.
Price have been set at £10 for adults, and £5 for concessions.
A coach will be run to Vale Park by the club, and further details on that will follow.
