Donnelly Appeal Rejected

Donnelly Appeal Rejected

Rochdale's appeal against the straight red card shown to George Donnelly in last weekend's game against Accrington Stanley has not been successful.

Football League in non common sense decision really.

The club believed it had a very strong case for appeal, and I doubt many fans who saw it live or on replays after the fact wouldn't have agreed with them, but for some bizarre reason the appeal has been rejected.

Donnelly will now miss our next three matches, the games against Wycombe Wanderers, Portsmouth and the Johnstone's Paint Trophy match against Port Vale.
