Manager Keith Hill has said the manner in which we lost two goals against AFC Wimbledon is what stuck with him following the game last Saturday.
Rochdale took a one nil lead in the game, before we switched off twice in the second half letting Wimbledon not only gain the leveller but also the to take the advantage.
Speaking to the Official Site after watching Rochdale slip to back to back defeats, the gaffer explained that it was basic errors that had cost us over 90 minutes and that was the main reason for his disappointment.
'I'm disappointed with the manner that we've conceded the two goals. They were basic elementary errors and that's what's costing us at the minute. It cost us at Dagenham and it cost us again (today).'
Hill goes on to say that individuals in the squad will either play or not play based on the decisions they are making on the pitch and he demands that they make the right decisions and the right teams when they are called upon during games, and sadly that just isn't always happening at the minute, and with respect to Wimbledon specifically he adds.
'I believe that individual decision making hasn't been up to scratch today, which has allowed the opposition to score on both occasions.'
Hill admits that for their first goal there can be some debate had as to whether it was even a free kick in the first place, but bottom line is when the referee has given it you have to ignore everything else and simply deal with it. That's what the players are paid to do and it's a results driven business and no error - presumed or not - by the officials is insurmountable if the players stay in the moment and don't drift whinging about the decision.
He adds that so far the players have been brave this season and that's what he wants them to get back to being, because whilst they have taken praise for performances so far this campaign, they can equally take the criticism from that showing and he expects them to react to it in our next game and show they can get it right and improve again.
