Referee Is Off Limits

Manager Keith Hill refused to answers the presses questions about the referee at the end of last nights game after he saw two of our players sent off.

Rochdale lost the game to Scunthorpe four nil, but the talking point will be the double dismissal of Oli Lancashire and Jack O'Connell in the second half by referee Tony Harrington.

Hill is quoted by the Manchester Evening News who point out quite categorically that he simply refused to answer any and all questions surrounding those red cards and the thoughts he may have about the performance of the referee.

'We have not been thrashed at home, we have been denied an opportunity. I won't answer questions about the referee - ask the Referees Association to explain themselves.'

Hill goes on to say that he feels it's no good asking him questions about the performance of the referee as simply put, he'll just end up fined and punished for giving his thoughts on the red cards, and he feels it's a shame that the press don't get to interview the man in the middle following games and give them a chance to tell a few truths and reflections on their own performance and the decisions they take.

'I will be asking to speak to the referee because I have a list as long as my arm with respect to decisions he could and should have made.'

I doubt we'll get to know what transpires in that meeting somehow.

Hopefully we'll get some actual reaction to the game at some point.
