'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Objective Achieved Against Oxford For Beech

Following on from our three nil victory over Oxford United on Saturday, assistant manager Chris Beech said it was simply a case of achieving our objective as we had set out to win the game and take all three points and that's exactly what we did.

Three more goals from Scott Hogan secured us yet another win this season in our search for promotion and despite now sitting in third place, two points behind Chesterfield, we do have a game in hand over both them and Scunthorpe who we are level on points with.

Speaking to the Official Site Beech was very down key when it came to the game really.

'There's no big dramas, it's football and it's three points. There are 13 games left and we know what we want to do but we have to earn the right to get that. From now until the end of the season we'll make sure that the attitude and ethics of this squad stays consistent to those thoughts.'

Beech goes on to say that ever since the start of the season the players both individually and as a group have been on board with how the management staff want the team to play and that have maintained that belief and those levels very well with only a few hiccups across the months, and when it comes together spectacularly well like it did against Oxford, it's a real joy to watch.

'Our objective was to go and get three points and we've done that, now we've got another good game to look forward to on Friday.'

Obviously with Hogan hitting his second hattrick for the club since Christmas, Beech described it as an unbelievable response from the player following the January transfer window shennanigans, and he can't praise him enough for how he's put all the speculation and nonsense behind him and is showing how committed he is to helping Rochdale to be successful.
