Rochdale Bus Parade Details Announced

Rochdale's open top bus parade to celebrate our second promotion to League One has now been planned, and the details announced.

The celebration will be hosted by Rochdale Borough Council and will see our promotion winning squad parade themselves along the Esplanade in the town centre on Tuesday May 6 before then attending a civic reception at the Town Hall.

Arrival at the Town Hall is expected to happen by about 6.15pm, and at roughly 6.30pm the team, manager and staff will be on the balcony alongside the Mayor to toast our successful season.

Mark Widdup, Director of Economy and Environment said to our Official Site of the celebrations.

'The town is buzzing and we are encouraging as many as possible to come down and watch the team arrive at the Town Hall to show them our support. Promotion to League One means a lot to the borough and we're hopeful of a large amount.'

Widdup goes on to say that all season long manager Keith Hill, his backroom staff and the players themselves have worked really hard and more than deserve the success they have had with promotion this season, and he points out all at the club also want to take their opportunity to celebrate with and thank the fans for their support this campaign.
