Rochdale 1-3 Middlesbrough

Rochdale 1-3 Middlesbrough

Manager Keith Hill would've been relatively pleased with our showing against Middlesbrough in our most recent pre season friendly as they provided us with a good test and another good run out in our pre season preparations.

The game really turned on two penalty decisions that fell their way, but they were worthy winners really as Adam Reach opened the scoring with a volley after only four minutes, and they doubled their advantage from the penalty spot eleven minutes later.

Ian Henderson reduced the deficit just before the half time break, but Boro opened up their two goal lead again 60 seconds later with another penalty.

Hill made a number of changes to the line up following on from the game against Bolton Wanderers, and new signing Calvin Andrew made his debut for us.
