Stockport Tonight

In a move which suprised many the club are tonight taking on Wembley winners Stockport County.

Certainly a few people have been turned off this fixture, not wanting to be suject to the County fans mocking for ninety minutes. Posts on the club fanzine board suggest a crowd of around 1000.

Whatever the crowd and however much/little the County fans gloat tonight is yet another important step in our preperations. As we all know too well County are now a league above us and the game should prove a good test.

Indeed, it comes as somewhat as a suprise that we're not facing any former players tonight what with Gannon being linked to every single one of our players bar Spencer.

Tonight will be a good chance for the new boys to get a feel for Spotland and show the fans what they can do. I'd expect more changes throughout the game in this one and it should be an interesting one, well maybe not this is Pre-Season...

Expect: Gloating away to our left.

Don't Expect: A full house.

that is a bit of a shocker - or choker whichever way you look at it. Hardly a friendly is it?
