Dale 0-0 County

Dale 0-0 County
Well it was back to Spotland for Dale in our new home shirt which, in all honesty, was probably the most interesting thing about this game.

The official attendance was given as 1020 and Spotland did look rather sparse this evening it has to be said.

Dale lined up for the first half as follows:

Russell,
Ramsden, Stanton, McArdle, Kennedy,
Higgy, Jones, Toner, Rundle
Daggers, Shaw

I'm struggling to think of what to say now, the game was a bit of a non-event in all honesty. County probably had the better of the first half making Russell work a few times, nowt to concerning though.

McArdle had a few chances with his head throughout the game but couldn't convert any of them.

County threatened every now and then but they themselves also looked rather toothless.

Oh and Toner hit the bar at which point I think we all realised we weren't going to see a goal.

It was good to see Evans get another run out as he came on for TK. Keltie, ALF and Buckley all came on and ran around the pitch a bit too.

If this is what the rest of the friendlies are gonna be like, bring on the season!

I'm sure these pre-season games help the players but for the fans it's often a tedious way to spend two hours.
