Rochdale vs Stevenage Match Preview

Rochdale travel to Stevenage today, knowing they have a 100% record at Broadhill Way; played one, won one!

The only ever previous meeting
between the 2 sides saw Dale ease their way into the next round of the FA cup in 2004 with a 2-0 win.

Dale will be looking for the performance against Hartlepool to be replaced by the one that saw them beat QPR 2-0 at Loftus Road. A quick start could be key for that to happen as Rochdale seemed to lack concentration, conceding goals in the 5th and 2nd minute of each half respectively in their latest game.

Stevenage have yet to win at home this season and have shipped 6 goals in those 3 games; good news for new signing David Ball, who`ll be looking to get off the mark on his debut.

Speaking to BBC Radio Manchester Steve Eyre stopped short of worrying, but did admit the team`s first league win will be important: "We don't consider it necessarily a monkey on our backs but we'll all be better people and better football people for it I'm sure."

If Ball`s pace can gel with John Paul Akpa Akpro`s power, it could well prove to be a fruitful partnership, with the side not short on chances this season, but struggling to put them away.

Here`s hoping the side stick with their attacking intentions and make the long journey back with the 3 points.

I`m going with 2-1 to the Dale. Your predictions please.

I've got a good feeling about tomorrow - 2-1 might be a decent call - Jones and Ball

As long as we play better than the last outing, and don't start to panic and play hoofball. A win would be good for the younger players though
